"God's Pottery: Knowing the Potter and the Clay"

About the Author

B.J. Nicol is a native of Ohio. She is married with three grown children, four step children, one natural grandchild and many step-grandchildren. Her family brings her much joy. She has spent her whole life in music. She grew up traveling and singing first with her family, then with a contemporary Christian group, The Goads. Then she settled down and ministered as worship leader in her church.

After temporarily losing her ability to sing because of a thyroid condition and subsequent throat surgery, she began to seek the Lord for a new ministry. She felt inspired to write books, including "God's Pottery". She has also published a second book called "Life As A Cactus: Lessons From a Survivor". She has also written several short stories and had one true story published in a compilation book, "Praise Reports" published by Xulon Press. When she is not being a wife, mother, grandmother, housekeeper and writer, she is a free lance photographer.

B.J. grew up the second of four children in a very unhappy, extremely dysfunctional and even abusive home. But she came to know the Lord Jesus as her personal savior on her 14th birthday and found true redemption and hope.

B.J. took some wrong turns along the road of life, but has grown as a person through some very difficult situations. She wants to share a message of hope. She has learned much in her challenging trek through life.

She has suffered through serious physical illness, miscarriages, marriage to an alcoholic/drug addict and the failure of that marriage, just to name a few of those challenges.

Today, she has been married for 12 years to a wonderful man who is also a minister. After her divorce, he helped her raise her children, as well as helping her grow in the Lord, teaching her about forgiveness and real love.

Through many years of being in a good Bible believing church, going through an AACC certified course in counseling, and being a student in the school of hard knocks, she feels she can prayerfully and humbly help others. That is her prayer and hope.
